Isaac is an I.T. Technician by profession, a space enthusiast, the President/Founder of Mars Society Kenya, an ‘Afronaut in Training’, a career astronaut candidate with AdvancingX, serves as a space station ambassador in Astronomers Without Borders, CEO at Scuzzynet Computer Solutions, an Analog Astronaut with the Analog Astronaut Community, and a committee member of the Space Habitats Committee at the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).

Isaac is passionate about space habitats, human space exploration, Lunar commerce, the environment, and space exploration, particularly in Mars. His vision of founding Mars Society Kenya is to promote the Kenyan space industry while raising a professional team of Kenyans dedicated to elevating public awareness toward landing human explorers on Mars within a decade with a dream of one day being part of the solution as humankind on Mars will be involved in terraforming the 'Red Planet'.

 

Mars Society Kenya is in the process of establishing the first private analog space research facility for crewed space research simulations in sub-Saharan Africa. The  Omni Africa Space Exploration Analog Simulation (OASEAS) will be established in Northern Kenya in an educational/ research resort village.


Isaac holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Unicaf University and his credentials in information technology & computer science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

As Africa accelerates its space ambitions, Ernest Teye Matey stands at the forefront of shaping the future of satellite-driven space architecture, ensuring that the continent is an active participant in humanity’s expansion beyond Earth.
