Prof. Álvaro Andrés Erices Bravo is a distinguished Lawyer & Consultant in Space Law. He earned his Law Degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and holds a specialization in Air and Space Law from the National Institute of Air and Space Law of the Argentine Republic (INDAE). Additionally, he obtained a Diploma in "Business Development with Space Products and Services" from the Federal Institute of Paraná in partnership with the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB).

Currently, he serves as a Professor of the first-ever Space Law course in the history of UBA’s Faculty of Law and acts as Tutor for the inaugural Argentine team competing in the 2025 Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition.

We aim to leverage space tourism platforms as a catalyst for promoting education among African youth, introducing them to cutting-edge technologies and inspiring the next generation of innovators, scientists, and space explorers through interactive and immersive space tourism experiences.

In his expert capacity, Prof. Erices Bravo has represented the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) as a delegate at the sessions of the Legal Subcommittee (LSC) of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS). He also collaborates as a Space Law Specialist in scientific and technical cooperation with the Faculty of Law at the National Aviation University (NAU) of Ukraine. He also is a member of the Research Center on Space Policy of the Roma Tre University of Italy.

As Africa accelerates its space ambitions, Ernest Teye Matey stands at the forefront of shaping the future of satellite-driven space architecture, ensuring that the continent is an active participant in humanity’s expansion beyond Earth.

Prof. Erices Bravo has authored and co-authored multiple research papers on Space Law and remains actively engaged in academic research and industry developments, contributing to the evolution of legal frameworks for outer space activities.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was honored with the “Dr. Aldo Armando Cocca" Award, bestowed by the Space Network for Latin America and the Caribbean (ReLaCa Espacio), which he received at the University of Jaén, Spain, in May 2024.
