Our goal is to push the boundaries of human capability in space, making interplanetary travel, deep-space missions, and planetary habitation safer, smarter, and more efficient.

Mission
At the Hybrid Spacecraft and Space Suit Design Studio, we are transforming space exploration by merging spacecraft and space suit design into a single, integrated effort. Our mission is to develop cutting-edge, human-centered design solutions that adapt to the needs of astronauts, no matter where they are in the universe.

DESIGN STUDIO

Planetary Exploration
- Mars Surface Suit: The lab develops suits that are specifically designed to handle Mars' dusty atmosphere and extreme temperature fluctuations, from freezing nights to hot days. These suits are integrated with dust repulsion systems and exoskeleton support for walking long distances in lower gravity.
- Lunar Surface Suits: Designed for lunar expeditions, these suits are tailored to handle sharp lunar dust (regolith) and provide enhanced mobility for extended rover missions and surface construction projects.
Deep Space Exploration
- Interplanetary Travel Suits: For long-term travel between planets, astronauts require suits with advanced life support systems that can sustain them in an emergency, like depressurization or equipment failure in deep space.
- Radiation Mitigation Suits: For missions passing through high radiation zones, such as near the Van Allen Belts or interplanetary space, suits are equipped with hydrogen-infused materials and BNNT layers to protect against harmful cosmic radiation.
